Folk....what is it? Since I started the transformation from the old polish deli just over four years ago there have been many trials and tribulations. It’s been lots of hard work, but enjoyable work. Blood, sweat and tears really have gone into this place, occasionally a hair gets into someone’s food too. Oops. It must be a labour of love. Money has always been too tight to mention and I’m not some sort of jaded b-list celeb who used to be in a band in Manchester in the 80s (when, as we all know, music was at it’s worst point for decades) playing at having a "place", I just wanted to create somewhere that I’d actually like to go and hang out in, if I lived round here. So what makes it so special then? Well, everything. The music is such an important part, I could start by saying “Where can you go out and hear...” but to name artists would be futile. The music is thought about and cared about, and regularly commented on. The few DJs, or players of records as I prefer, we have at weekends play music you never knew you liked. The food is unpretentious but of sturdy quality. Great breakfast, brunch and lunch meals cooked to order from good quality ingredients. Its not fast food! The service...well, lets just say that like the interior, its eclectic. The vibe? Hey man its all about the vibe.
